All-day care

Open all-day care at Grundschule Kronsberg

Grundschule Kronsberg has worked with Turn-Klubb zu Hannover (TKH) since the 2021/2022 school year. For more than ten years, TKH has supported over 1,000 children in more than 25 school clubs and childcare programmes.

Based on an educational approach centred on movement, inclusion, participation, the environment, nutrition, creativity, social skills and support, TKH aims to give children a well-rounded education and opportunities for individual development.

A broad selection of leisure activities reflects children’s interests and needs and gives them room to develop.

Daily schedule and care hours

Participation in open all-day care is voluntary and free of charge, apart from lunch in the dining hall. Registration is binding for one school term. At the beginning of each term, families may choose between one and five days per week.

Optional early and late care extends the full care period from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The core afternoon programme runs from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

  • Early care (optional): 7:00 to 8:00 a.m.
  • Lessons: from 8:00 a.m.
  • Open all-day afternoon programme: 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
  • Late care (optional): 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Drop-off and collection are flexible during early care from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. and late care from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

An employer’s certificate is required for early or late care and must be submitted with the registration. Without it, a child cannot attend early or late care.

The afternoon core period includes learning time, lunch together and various leisure activities. Families may choose between a hot meal in the dining hall and food brought from home.

Registration

Registration is binding for one school term. The form records the requested care days and, where needed, early and late care.
