Exploring Hanover

In general studies, classes 3a, 3b and 3c explored the topic “From reality to a map”. After learning about compass directions, compasses, grid squares and map symbols, we researched Hanover’s sights in small groups. To prepare our presentations, we went on a city walk together. From Kröpcke, we headed to the main railway station and the meeting point “under the tail”. We followed parts of the Red Thread, stopped at the old and new town halls, visited Hanover’s oldest house and saw the Ballhof, Market Church and Nanas by artist Niki de Saint Phalle. We took a break in Georgengarten and played games together. We were now well prepared for our presentations.
